I’m back – along with an AWARD!🤩

When I say- along with an award- that’s not for me- you understand- but for the 1st Book in the KIDS OF KERNOW series – MAGICAL MOSSY IN BOSCASTLE

Well, I never, for a moment thought that my first blog post after our month long adventures away in Scotland would start off with such fantastic news!! ( But, I’m delighted it has! 🤗)

Do you recall a couple of earlier blog posts from July & August of this year?

That was when I first mentioned this prestigious & coveted award. I shared my thoughts with you all, that, although the book had been entered, I didn’t really expect it to get anywhere- it being newly published (& self-published to boot) but I hoped to gain some votes & for the judges to, at best, maybe short-list it, if I was lucky!

So, the book was duly entered in to the Platinum Awards which recognise excellence & innovation in the Health & Well-Being Industry.

Every entry (not just books) were then selected to go further by the 5 judges:

Janey Lee Grace,

Jo Wood,

Glynis Barber,

Carrie Grant

& Dr Marilyn Glenville.

It passed round 1✔️

All entries were then judged by the aforementioned – It passed round 2 ✔️

Reviews were then considered – It passed round 3✔️

Consumer ( reader) votes were then counted- It passed round 4✔️

Then on September 15th 2021 at 10.05 am precisely this year’s Platinum Awards were announced!

( I was completely unaware of this, visiting castles & manor houses & travelling from Edinburgh to Stirling at the time! 😲😂)

However, when I checked my emails the next day I received this!

“Congratulations on winning your GOLD award in the JANEY LOVES 2021 Platinum Awards!

There were a fabulous number of entries this year despite it being a challenging time, and our judges loved discovering the incredible array of fantastic products and services. Well done and we appreciate you supporting the Janey Loves Awards so that we can support and showcase you.”

I checked the list of winners- not quite believing what I was reading & there it was :

I did a very quick FB post to let my immediate Kids of Kernow family know – and made a mental note to remember to blog about it far & wide on my return!

I remembered, lol 😂

So- there you have it – a dream come true- MAGICAL MOSSY IN BOSCASTLE has been recognised as being ‘excellent & innovative‘.

What more could I ask for?

Hopefully as I ( & hopefully you, my loyal followers ) continue to spread this news- it means that the important messages in the book will continue to reach more & more children. I’m absolutely thrilled about that.
